In order to help those interested in training their dogs we have listed some exercises that we have found useful in our training (look at the sub pages on the Gundog Training advice tab).  Moxon's Gundog Training and Field Trials is still a good publication for learning the basic and more advanced training of a gundog as is Susan Scale's book Retriever Trainining.

However, since these books were written competitive training has moved on, as most things do in life!  We will continue to include useful information and tips for training your gundog (especially retrievers) so keep your eye on this site.  The documents also support the classes Chris and I take.  Please also see how dogs learn on the Dog Behaviour Advice tab.
